Day 318 – Weigh In – 3.4 lbs. & Zumba

Day 318 –  Week 45

 I lost – 3.4 pounds this week.

 Starting Weight : 365.1
 Current Weight : 339.2

Total pounds lost: – 25.9 lb.

A new low!  So since coming to Hawaii I have lost 15.8 lbs. Vacation is very very good!

     I doubled up my workouts today.  I tried Zumba for the very first time.  The class was packed.  Oh my the pace was quick and my feet were slow.  I was lost most of the time.  I just kept moving baby.  As long as I was moving and trying I felt great.  Hey my drummer might be slow but my spirit is as light as a feather.  Nothing like working out with a large group the energy is contagious.  I then went to Aqua Swim.  I love being weightless.  Don’t let that fool you though.  The workout is intense.  The water creates such a great resistance and you work every muscle.  The joys of this 24 Hour Fitness Club are the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi after a 2 hour workout.  I’m going to miss these perks when I go back to Alaska.

I’ll take it!  Whew things are getting back to my new normal.  That cold crud really threw me for a loop for awhile.  So I’m excited for the next week.

Day 156 – Week 22 Weigh In – 5.0 lbs.

I lost 5.0 pounds this week.

Total pounds lost: – 22.2 lb.

Well I feel like I’m back to it again. Boy I was flown for a loop in the last few weeks. You really need to read Day 149’s Post. It explains why this week doesn’t feel like a 5 lbs loss but a 2 lbs loss. (I explain everything a little clearer than in this following sentence).    With good choices one week and a very little loss and then a “who cares week” and a gain and then a week of sickness and no excercise but a loss, You can see how I just can’t figure this out.  I’ll just have to keep reminding myself that it’s not about the # on the scale but patterns and routines that are being established from day-to-day.

So I will CHEER   —     A NEW LOW — 22 in 22!

Day 149 – Week 21 Weigh In + 3.1 lb.

I gained 3.1 pounds this week.

Starting Weight : 365.1
Current Weight : 347.9

Total pounds lost: – 17.2 lb.

       What a maddening couple of weeks.  The scale held too much power over me.  I allowed it to be the final verdict as to my progress.  Arg I hate that.  So in Week 20 I was making so many great decisions.  I was eating within my 1500 calorie count, excersing, and very determined.  But the scale read a 1 pound loss.  GOOD GREIF! I knew it was a fluke.  I should have weighed in the next day because I knew it was incorrect ie. stress – hormones – sleep, something.  But no! I told myself  “Well then you might as well eat!” So then Week 21 hits with a massive schedule collision with Jury Duty, Head Cold, chipped tooth, Parent Teacher Conferences, LIFE, Period. Thus the 3 lbs gain.  So as if it hadn’t happened I shamefully didn’t officially report the weight gain on the blog, but in order to stay truthful I hid the result on Twitter and the Perfect 10 recap.  Oh the games we play.

 I am happy to report a loss for Week 22 but the lessons learned in Week 20 & 21 will help to remind me why I’m on this journey. It’s not about the # on the scale it’s about the patterns and routines that will last in this new life.

Day 142 — Week 20 Weigh In – 1.0 lb.

      I was so excited about this weigh in.  I even had a crazy last chance workout in the pool last night.  I chased after every swimmer in front of me.  Some even had flippers on.  I was so ready to see a great number.  Darn!    Well its not about the number.  So I will hold my head high and keep on keeping on. 

I now might be even more excited for next Thursday. 🙂

So what can happen in a year’s time from 09/09/09-10/10/10? I will continue to answer this question within this blog.

Day 135 — Week 19 Weigh In – 4.0 lbs.

I lost 4.0 pounds this week!

Total pounds lost: – 19.3 lb.

        That’s 10 lbs. since the New Year.  What a great week!   I’ve kept my calorie intake around 1500. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I’ve been swimming for 35 minutes,  lifting weights and on the elliptical  for 20 minutes.   I took a week off from my 7 day Challenges and I really missed it.  So I’m starting another one tomorrow.

Being this intentional is so much fun.

So what can happen in a year’s time from 09/09/09-10/10/10? I will continue to answer this question within this blog.
