Day 363 – Nine Nine to Ten Ten Challenge

Happy Blogoversary to me!
           I started this journey on 09/09/09 to see what I could accomplish in a year’s time.  The idea was to blog from 09/09/09 to 10/10/10.  I have 1 more month to see what a difference a year can make.  What better way to celebrate than to run my own challenge.  The key is to make  SMART goals that are measurable.

How to participate in the 
           9/9 to 10/10 Challenge

1. Respond to this post with your goals for the month by 9/11. 
On 9/9 I will post the names of those who are participating.
2. On Sundays (9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3,  &  10/10) post a comment on the
9/9 to 10/10 Challenge post.  If you have a blog provide a link  so we may visit your site and encourage one another. You do not need a blog to participate just add your comments.
3. Finally include one thing that made you feel proud during the course of the week.

 The Prize Eligibility Rules.
 How you do on your goals does not affect the prize eligibility.
To receive an entry in the prize drawing you must … 
1. … list your goals on this post or the September 9th post.
2. … comment on each of my five challenge posts by midnight Sunday each week.

Prizes will be announced on 09/09/10.

  1. What a great way to celebrate your Blogoversary, Shelli! I’m in.

    My goals:
    1. Exercise 6 days per week.
    3 days Rebounder
    3 days DVD’s

    2. CAREFULLY count calories.
    6 days per week not over 1550
    1 day per week not over 1800

    My relaxed day will be one of Jim’s days off.

    I’ve gotten sloppy lately, and this is perfect to help get me back flying straight again. Thanks for doing this! I’m excited for all of us.

  2. Hey, Shelli. 🙂

    I’m keeping it simple for this challenge. Here’s my goals:

    1. Stay within my calorie range of 1200 to 1300 calories a day, keeping as near to 1200 as possible. Except for Sunday. Sunday I’ll do the best I can.

    2. Include 4 servings of veggies daily, except Sunday.

    3. Walk at least 12 miles a week.

    😀 That is it.

    This will be a fun way to get at it. I need to buckle down, I’ve been fooling around lately.

    • That is the best way to do it Deb. Simple with this because so many other things are not.

      You’ll draw strength when you need it and the Lord is there.

  3. Happy Blogoversary!
    I found your blog via “Loretta’s Journey” and can’t wait to start this challenge.

    My goals are:
    Do resistance training three times a week
    Add protein to each meal
    Eat five servings of fruits & veggies per day

    Hopefully this challenge will help me lose the weight goal I’ve set for myself by my birthday in November.
