Day 76 – What if?

I honestly do not know what to write about tonight. It’s a busy week for one and all and I knew that this was my one night for a good post before the holiday and yet here I sit with a ton of random thoughts. So I narrowed all the randomness down to one of my pastor’s key points from yesterday’s sermon.

What if all of a sudden everything that you had not given thanks for disappeared?

(Note: not perfectly quoted from Pastor Stephen Brown’s Sunday’s Sermon but I think it translates).

  1. Poignant thought…and a great “random” thought to share with us all. I’m making it a point to let everyone in my life know just how thankful I am for them. I hope you have a great day of thanks, Shelli!

    • As I am thankful for our new friendship.
I’m glad that we may support each other on this road.
      Have a great weekend.
      I loved your Trot pictures!
      Great job.

      • Shelli, I hope you had a fantastic holiday filled with lots of love. I, too, am thankful for our new friendship and am looking forward to learning lots more about you! Thank you, for being so supportive!

  2. Life would suddenly take a sharp turn for the worst.

    • Takes your breathe away.

  3. Yikes! I wouldn’t call that a random thought… I would definitely call that a “deep” thought!

We have so much to be thankful for… to Him from whom all good gifts come.

    • Amen! He is good to me. I was chatting with some friends last night and realized that His big picture of us is beautiful and even the small detail that we see right now completes the whole picture. Without that small portion it would be an entirely different picture. So even the small decision today will set us up for the big picture which is our goal.

Loretta, Thank you for your friendship.

  4. My first reaction to your question is fear. It would be pretty scary to lose everything that I am grateful for. My next thought is that I would have to dig deeper to find some new things to be grateful for…
I hope you have a wonderful and healthy Thanksgiving Shelli. I am so glad our paths have crossed again!

    • Being thankful for everything …. It’s a full time job. The Lord has surely blessed me. Enjoy your weekend and I’m also thankful for our new and literally “found” friendship.

  5. What a great thought. I love that it makes me think about all that God has entrusted to me. How great!

    • For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:48

Such an incredible verse but everyone should take the time and read the previous verses, Luke 12:42-48. The context is even more powerful.

  6. Hi Sis,
Just wanted to wish you a most Happy Thanksgiving.
I’m sure looking forward to you upcoming visit.
It’ll be good to see you and catch up.
    Much Love,
    Dianna 🙂

    • I can’t wait! Have a great weekend. ~3~

  7. Great thought! This week I came under the impression of how key it is to give THANKS for EVERYTHING, even the bad stuff, because in God’s hands, it is most certainly still GOOD. Lots of food for thought there… I am most certainly going to post about it once I’ve collected my thoughts! =)

Hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving, Shelli.
