Day 149 – Week 21 Weigh In + 3.1 lb.

I gained 3.1 pounds this week.

Starting Weight : 365.1
Current Weight : 347.9

Total pounds lost: – 17.2 lb.

       What a maddening couple of weeks.  The scale held too much power over me.  I allowed it to be the final verdict as to my progress.  Arg I hate that.  So in Week 20 I was making so many great decisions.  I was eating within my 1500 calorie count, excersing, and very determined.  But the scale read a 1 pound loss.  GOOD GREIF! I knew it was a fluke.  I should have weighed in the next day because I knew it was incorrect ie. stress – hormones – sleep, something.  But no! I told myself  “Well then you might as well eat!” So then Week 21 hits with a massive schedule collision with Jury Duty, Head Cold, chipped tooth, Parent Teacher Conferences, LIFE, Period. Thus the 3 lbs gain.  So as if it hadn’t happened I shamefully didn’t officially report the weight gain on the blog, but in order to stay truthful I hid the result on Twitter and the Perfect 10 recap.  Oh the games we play.

 I am happy to report a loss for Week 22 but the lessons learned in Week 20 & 21 will help to remind me why I’m on this journey. It’s not about the # on the scale it’s about the patterns and routines that will last in this new life.
